My name is Paul and I've been cruising since 1980. This blog is dedicated to news and information about Norwegian Cruise Line. I am not officially affiliated with NCL, so this will always be news and my honest, unbiased opinions. I hope you find it useful!
After a long career in corporate America, I really wanted a change. So in 2018, I decided to start a Travel Agency. Since ocean cruising was my favorite form of getting away I specialized in cruises. I was getting past the startup stage and starting to build a clientele. Then came COVID. The cruise lines stopped cruising, and the commission checks stopped. Good times. After a while my wife convinced me to retire. We bought a place in Playa del Carmen Mexico to vacation in. We've really enjoyed getting to know Mexico too. For now, it's an AirBnb but one day we hope to spend all of our time there.
My love for cruising and a need for sharing great experiences and having a creative outlet led to this, and I'm hoping you'll enjoy what we do here and get something out of it.
In 1980, I started my cruising "career" with three buddies in a way that a lot of people got started-on a Carnival cruise. We sailed out of Miami on Carnivale to the Caribbean. It was so memorable. One of the biggest memories was upon return to Miami though, when we saw the amazing SS Norway in port. She was one-of-a-kind in the cruising market at the time.
My favorite place to visit so far has been Mexico. The Riviera Maya, in particular, is full of amazing beaches, cenotes, food, and culture. Whenever we visit we're blown away by the amazing people of Mexico and their hospitality. If you haven't spent any extra time in Mexico we highly recommend you do so soon.
